Are you interested in supporting Texas authors and Texas books? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Then you’ve come to the right place; consider joining the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Lone Star Book Blog Tours Team!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n What does LSBBT do?<\/strong><\/span> <\/span>The LSBBT team supports <\/span>Lone Star Literary Life<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/u> and hosts: – Books written by Texas Authors<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – Books about Texas<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – Books with Texas settings and\/or with Texan characters<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The LSBBT Team takes books on blog tours<\/a>, with each team member posting either a promotional post, special feature (like author interviews, guest posts, or graphics), or book review. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n What are the incentives for bloggers? – early peeks and copies of some of the latest Tex-centric books;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – increased traffic and exposure for your blog;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – Blogger Bucks* (via PayPal or Gift Cards) for each post;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – monthly giveaways for LSBBT team members who promote the tours on social media outlets and\/or post their reviews to Goodreads and Amazon; and<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n – finders’ incentives for bringing in new, qualified bloggers to the group.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n *The Blogger Bucks amounts are too small to be considered payment for your services and are more a thank you gift for your help. However, they can add up to a tidy sum by the end of the year, and 1099s will be distributed, as appropriate.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Should I be concerned about receiving incentives? <\/strong><\/span> Not at all! Just like professional reviewers who write for major publications, bloggers’ incentives — whether received via PayPal, Gift Cards, or Contest Entries — NEVER come directly from the author or publisher. LSBBT Bloggers are supporting the online media site Lone Star Literary Life<\/a><\/u>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> Anything else?<\/strong><\/span> You must be a Texas-based or Texan book blogger, have an established blog and social media following, and preferably, have a personal Facebook account to be part of the team. How is it done?<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>For each tour, a sign-up sheet is provided and bloggers select the date and type of post they’d like to host on their blogs. Team members must be willing to post both reviews and special features. All the content is provided to the blogger by LSBBT, with the exception of book reviews. Books are provided to the blogger reviewers, but the bloggers must write their own review content and give their honest opinions.
