The latest from Ransom Canyon is Indigo Lake (Harlequin, $7.99 paperback) featuring Blade Hamilton, a federal agent who finds himself in Crossroads, Texas, on personal business and gets caught up in an arson case that escalates to murder. And, against his better judgment, he is smitten by sweet young Dakota Davis. Problem is, Hamiltons and Davises have feuded for years.

Meanwhile, the sheriff’s daughter, Lauren Brigman, is trying to figure out, at age 27, what she wants to do with her life.
