Be thoughtful and make things nice for your husband or wife. It\u2019s a two-way street.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-33\">Asked if she would change anything, Mrs. Bush replied, \u201cNo, I wouldn\u2019t have changed anything. You\u2019re not going to talk to anyone any happier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-38\">In the foreword, <span>George W. Bush<\/span> recalls that on his father\u2019s ninetieth birthday, he was asked what the happiest moment in his life had been. \u201cDad said that it was the day that he married my mother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-41\">The book has received glowing online reviews from readers who admire George and Barbara, and it is a delightful, inspiring read with dozens of photographs.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-44\">I did notice one small flaw on page 95: the authors mention that George, in a neck brace and accompanied by Barbara, threw out the first pitch in the third game of the World Series in 2015 in Houston. Actually, it was the third game of the American League Division Series. The Astros didn\u2019t make it to the World Series that year, but of course won it in 2017.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-54\"><span><span id=\"u398016\"><a href=\"https:\/\/untpress.unt.edu\/catalog\/3793\" id=\"u398008\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"readableLinkWithLargeImage\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"readableLargeImageContainer\"><img decoding=\"async\"   src=\"https:\/\/lonestarliterary.etypegoogle10.com\/sites\/lonestarliterary.etypegoogle10.com\/files\/description\/demattos%2c%20they%20called%20him%20buckskin%20frank_cover%20sm.jpg\"  id=\"u398008_img\" \/><\/div>\n<p><\/a><\/span><\/span><span>Mysterious Western character: <\/span>Texas author <span>Chuck Parsons<\/span> has teamed up again with <span>Jack DeMattos<\/span> to produce a well-researched account of the life of a western gunfighter.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-63\">They co-authored <span>The Notorious Luke Short <\/span>in 2015, published by the University of North Texas Press, and now they are back with <span><a href=\"https:\/\/untpress.unt.edu\/catalog\/3793\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>They Called Him Buckskin Frank: The Life and Adventures of Nashville Frank Leslie<\/span><\/a><\/span> (UNT Press, $29.95 hardcover).<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-66\">Frank Leslie was born in Texas in 1842 and lived briefly in Fort Worth in 1897\u201398, but he made his reputation as a gunfighter and Indian scout in Arizona in the 1880s.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-69\">\u201cWhile he never achieved the national fame as did Wyatt Earp,\u201d the authors write, both<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-71\">\u201cwere equals as far as notoriety was concerned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"u397392-74\">Leslie served six years of a life sentence in territorial prison for murdering a lady friend on his ranch in 1889.
