The winners of this year\u2019s Pulitzer Prizes<\/span><\/strong><\/a> were announced via video stream this week. Originally scheduled for April 20, the announcement was postponed this year because of the pandemic. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pulitzer administrator Dana Canedy exercised social distancing and made the announcement via YouTube from her living room. \u201cMore than ever, this moment highlights journalism\u2019s mission to provide a vital public service. It also demonstrates literature and the arts\u2019 ability to transport and uplift the human spirit during trying times,\u201d said Canedy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n These are your Texas Pulitzer winners:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n History<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sweet Taste of Liberty: A True Story of Slavery and Restitution in America<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>,<\/span><\/span> by W.
