Books on the Bosque features a day full of interesting authors, beginning with New York Times<\/em> best-selling author Charlaine Harris<\/strong> (Aurora Teagarden<\/em>, Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire<\/em>\/HBO\u2019s True Blood<\/em> series).  Journey to the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton, TX, for a conference for both readers and writers on Saturday, October 28, at 9:30 a.m. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Keynote speaker Harris is joined by children\u2019s writer K.D. Huxman<\/strong>, author and inspirational speaker Theo Boyd<\/strong>, and Grant Ferguson<\/strong>, who will offer guidance on the process of self-publishing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and a\u202fcontinental breakfast sponsored by Tolstoy & Co. Bookshop.  The keynote begins at 9:30 a.m. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The fee for the conference is $30 per person, with lunch also included. Reservations are requested and may be made online<\/a><\/strong><\/u> or by phone at 254-675-3724. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The day closes with the awards ceremony for the 2nd Annual Books on the Bosque Writing Contest<\/strong> beginning at 3:45 p.m. The ceremony is open and free to the public<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
