Meet Amy Kelly, the dynamic new leader of Lone Star Literary Life. A fixture in the North Texas literary scene, Amy’s diverse involvement laid the foundation for her role at Lone Star Lit. She’s been a presenter at DFW Con, hosts a monthly writer\u2019s group with Art House Dallas, and enjoys an active membership with the Texas Library Association. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Amy holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in French and History from Texas A&M University, along with secondary teaching credentials. She spent five years teaching 8th-grade social studies in Fairfax County Public Schools, where she also authored curriculum for twenty-six middle schools. Her expertise didn’t go unnoticed, as she became a source for publications like The Washington Post<\/em> and Kiplinger\u2019s Personal Finance<\/em>, while also reviewing nonfiction books for VOYA Magazine<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Through her brand, The Ish Girl<\/a><\/em>, Amy is deeply involved in supporting fellow writers. With Accomplished Authors<\/a><\/em>, she empowers writers to craft compelling online presences via workshops and courses.
