Lone Star Book Festival slated for Austin Sept. 24–25

AUSTIN — The Lone Star Book Festival will be held in Austin Sept. 24–25, 2016, at the Austin American-Statesman event parking lot facing South Congress Avenue.

According to festival director and founder B. Alan Bourgeois, the event features “indie and traditionally published Texas authors, with the emphasis heavily on the indie side of that equation.” The festival provides an opportunity for the general public to meet and greet new authors and to have fun as well.

A  motivational speaker, performer, and Amazon best-selling author, Dawson writes children’s books focusing on bullying and racism. He was recently awarded the coveted Artist of the Year, Best Country Male Vocalist, and Best Country Live Performer awards by the Nashville Independent Music Association.

Sessions are planned for children and adults, including a scavenger hunt that will cover a seven-mile area. For more information contact ,TxAuthors@live.com  (512) 554-9560.
